There is much to learn. The Pet Food industry is a multi-million dollar industry. Read labels. Ask questions ... of more than one source. Each dog and cat is as individual in diet as you and I.

Keeping your dog or cat healthy is a full-time job. Hopefully, here you will find books to inspire, to challenge and to change the world of food for you and your four-leggeds.

Remember, a knowlegeable Veterinarian is invaluable. A Veterinarian is also a human, so you may need more than one in your arsenal of good health.

One of the first diet books out there (1999), with many nutritional aspects included. Written by an excellent veterinarian, Donald R. Strombeck		This is the third edition of Dr. Richard H. Pitcairn's book on dog and cat nutrition. Should be required reading for anyone BEFORE they begin cooking for their dogs. :)
If there was one book in the world, for a dog/cat food nutrionist ... this is it. Monica Segal has a degree in animal nutrition and her books and writings are up-to-date with current nutrional values.
